Hay d00des! Haven't updated in awhile! Things have been a little crazy for the past few months (aren't they always?), but I've finally graduated from college, and am now heading down to San Jose, CA to work for Gaia in THREE DAYS! AHHHHHHHH :(. I'm already missing Seattle!!!

Thanks for all your continued support, even in my absence :) I promise I read all comments and appreciate them x10000!

Anyway, new work! You may or may not recognize her from three other pieces I have scattered through my gallery for her; most notably [link] "Lilande." With a slight Medusa theme. What's she doing to the guy at the bottom? Loving him? Killing him? I dunno!!! You decide :). Trying to go with looser brushwork now a days :9. But yeah. This was super fun to do! Please feel free to comment/crit/etc! All of them are much appreciated!

Beautiful. I like the combination of the looser brushwork with the emphasised detail work on the metal. Lovely colours.

Well, with the guy on the bottom it kinda looks like she's stepping on his nutsack...but then again maybe she's hovering a level above him and he is overcome with her beauty and power. Seems like he is in hell but she is removed/master over it.
I really like the drills in the background as well, adds to the dominant, sadistic feel to it.

LOL Yeah that's a big oops. It was too late by the time I realized it looked completely wrong... the guy's body is supposed to be twisted up behind her legs (so his bod is behind her, rather than.... in between her >_>;). Big whoopsies for me :(. I guess it opens the painting up to some kind of domination interpretation though haha XD? I never thought of those structures as drills, but that really works doesn't it :O. Thanks so much for the feedback :hug:!

now seeing she's a demon, my previous thought makes a little less sense, but my first impression was (being accursed) that she would never love since i assumed her touch was deadly, so never being able to love, she'd walk the earth unintentionally killing all the ones she loved

but then... demons are normally unfeeling and sinister... so... maybe she herself is a curse upon humanity :]

but this is so well done, i love how loosely you colored it, the sleeve especially have a soft and light feel...

loose is immediately the word that comes to mind when looking at it, and yet it's not careless... its a VERY well colored and appealing work :]

though the ornate structures on her shoulders kinda confuse me, are they coming from some sort of under armor?

Wow first of all apologies for the late reply, secondly I'm flattered you put all that thought into this :D. It's the highest compliment~! Originally I had thought she was cursed herself... something beautiful on the outside but deadly to touch (like you were saying). I didn't see her unintentionally killing the ones she loved so much as a somewhat villainous character who has bad-conscience-pangs/regrets every once in awhile. That's just me of course... I love interpretation from the audience (as long as it isn't too.... off the wall XD).

The ornate structures are coming from an under armor yes :). They're attached to the gold bodice-piece which i was trying to portray as quite stiff, but I may have failed at that LOL. Maybe I should've given it more thought XD.

um, i just give the kind of stuff i like to hear, limiting myself to pokemon recently, i havent had much an opportunity for a lot of interpretation of the part of my characters, but i like hearing peoples interpretations of my works...

i mean after all, thats the basic point of DA, although its kinda become more of an artisic bookmark for those who just want shortcuts to good/mediocre work :/

maybe i should upload osme paintings ;D
