So I decided to do something completely new instead of finishing the other piece from a year ago just yet
Hotsuma from the Sega series "Shinobi" (this particular portrait is based off of the PS2 character design).
Just a quicker piece... lots of looser brushwork and random junk... I got a little bored in the middle of it and added random stuff that the original character doesn't actually have, but yeah... Parts of this piece are strong in the "lazy" dept but I hope you all enjoy anyway I enjoyed making it... Damn awesome character! I've been wanting to do a fanart of him for a long, long time! The original is actually pretty darn small (in scale), compared to most pieces I do...

omg she's alive!! xD I like it a lot. He must be an awesome character. But it looks like either the blood is too red or too thick. x.o; But it sure is amazing. :]
Gorgeous work as usual, it's good to see you haven't lost your edge, and actually the loose brushwork gives it a certain flow that I really love. I do think the area around his shoulders look a bit stiff, but otherwise this is a great piece to get you back on the road. And the colours are just beautiful. Loving it.

Very, very cool. Neat lighting, although I think it would look better over a darker background...
