Looking out from Tulip Dist. by JenZee Looking out from Tulip Dist. by JenZee
This is my first "serious" environmental (the only other two in existence are the AVP ones from like three months ago)... It's obvious I really need to learn-2-environmental but I think/hope I've taken some steps forward since the last two! Also, it's my first time doing anything completely in Photoshop omg!!!! Any helpful criticism is welcome :) Anyway I guess I sort of envisioned a watery-industrial-but-with-pretty-residential place kind of ...place. lol. Just thought I'd post something to let you all know....

I AM ALIVE. Ahhhhh I've been pretty busy lately even though I have more unfinished art projects than EVER on deck. Bad mix! I havn't been able to check DA in forever! Alucard INCOMING! I promise. XD

Many many apologies, and thanks to all of you lovely souls who have left such sweet comments and friendly feedback for me! I swear I will get around to reading them all right when I finish submitting this! I really appreciate each and every one :heart::cookie:.

Thanks for looking! Hope you like it ;).

Photoshop
About 4 hrs. :/

Four hours, you say? Wooowww. *_*
The details look so crisp and the lighting looks great.
Though, I'm a bit confused as to what the yellow circle is. At first I was thinking it was a moon, but it looks like there's another building behind it?

Landscapes! I hate doing artificial ones. I haven't done that many, but I know they're hard. All the more reasons to love this. ^^ The contrast between the blue lights and the orange ambient is great, too.

eek sorry it took me so long to get back to reply X_X! Glad you like it, and yeah the moon is pretty slacker-style ~_~. At that point I think I'd worked on it too long and just wanted to stop painting it hahaha. I didn't use any reference for this unfortunately... it would've been a great help... i struggled a whole lot with parts of the face (there are some big mistakes that I should fix but I'm too lazy X_X) but yeah... off the top of my head :).

It's wonderful, really. Environments and colors are probably my greatest weaknesses right now... and this piece shows just how good those areas can get =) great work!

Whoa, I'm definitely enjoying the small details in lighting here. I love the bright windows in the back, the yellow-ish waterfall, the little red and turquoise lights here and there, and definitely those blossom looking lamp (?) post things toward the front. You've done a very nice fade with the buildings, too. :)

There is really nothing to Crit.... the sun maybe ... I think thats the sun but everything is too good! I like how the little details (I ful view everything lol) How you took the smaller details like the waterfall and the minnie blue lights I like how you didn't miss a beat. The lighting is correct I really love how you make everything just blend. Your effort really shows I am blown away... =D
